Gabby Jackson
Gabby Jackson is an activist, artist, and community advocate dedicated to empowering youth to amplify their voices and drive change around violence prevention and social justice issues through art, media, interactive workshops, and community education. She has engaged in various projects that highlight the urgency of healing and reducing harm within her community. Beyond her artistry and activism, Gabby loves exploring new topics, traveling, and nurturing plants. Her vision is to raise awareness about the harm caused by incarceration and to work toward a world built on community, connection, and the abolition of prisons.

Media Artist + Activist Residency (MAR)
Overview
Gabby Jackson will collaborate with the youth of Care, Not Control (CNC) to create an audio and visual podcast that aims to bring awareness to restorative and transformative justice – specifically how to implement concepts to create alternatives for incarceration from youth perspectives. Youth organizers of CNC will learn how to facilitate conversations and build social awareness through media and technology. The residency will culminate with a podcast release event for the community.
