Ants On A Log Performing at Philly FringeArts Festival

Ants On A Log (ACG '17, '16) return with their musical performance CURIOUS: Think Outside the Pipeline this month as a part of the Philadelphia FringeArts Festival.

This musical was first performed in 2016 with a cast of twelve. In a special, two-performer edition, the Ants will play all characters themselves! While the plot is fictional, the musical is based on actual, recent events in Philadelphia and all over the United States. As the character Clio laments midway through the play, “The same thing is happening everywhere.”

The musical offers children a view into the importance of being active members of a community and realizing their own power through clever, original, and catchy music.

Since the 2016 Curious debut, the Ants have performed songs from the play at concerts and fundraisers, and the Curious soundtrack will be released this fall. The Ants will perform Curious twice as part of Fringe 2018:

Saturday, September 15, 11am
Children's Community School in West Philadelphia (1212 S 47th St.)

Saturday, September 22, 11am
Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Atonement in Fishtown (1542 E. Montgomery Ave).

The show runs about one hour, and is suggested for ages 4 and up. A portion of the proceeds benefit local pre-school programs. Tickets are $10-15 sliding scale. No one turned away.
