Danita Reese

Location
North Philadelphia

Danita J. Reese (she/her/hers) is a strategist, coach, and facilitator who brings nearly twenty years of communications, design, and operations experience to her work. Her curiosity to understand how people and complex organizations function has led to work in the fin-tech, government, healthcare, human services, non-profit, and retail industries. She relies on the intersections, patterns, and best practices from these experiences to ground and infuse her work.

As an enthusiastic tinkerer—and an enthusiast in general—outside of work, you can find her writing and creating art, studying human design, tarot, and astrology, officiating special events, helping her parents navigate their technology tools, or generating spontaneous bouts of laughter and fun with family, friends, and strangers.

Andrea Ngan and Danita J. Reese will create Land Soft: A reclamation for hard times. This project will encompass a three-part conversation and short zine of practices, drawing from ancestral wisdom, oral histories, and the lives of womxn of color. The project will culminate in a facilitated gathering to support womxn of color in accessing gentler ways to be in relationship with oneself, community, and mother earth. Each conversation will be accompanied by practices rooted in ancestral histories and lived wisdom. Danita and Andrea draw from a personal longing for more tender and reciprocal ways of being in relationship in an increasingly violent and extractive world.
