Keyysh Datts will collaborate with the Human Rights Coalition (HRC) on the “Restoring Our Stories” campaign. This campaign will incorporate short documentaries, an organizing digital toolkit, and an online website that focuses on retelling the stories of those directly impacted by state violence and the mass incarceration systems, including but not limited to political prisoners, those falsely incarcerated, those detained by ICE, and others outside of the carceral system. The campaign aims to uplift change makers in the community through community screenings and discussions, distribution of the docuseries to local media platforms, and dissemination of the downloadable digital toolkit to community members.

Human Rights Coalition (HRC)
Human Rights Coalition (HRC) is a criminal justice organization, consisting of currently and formerly incarcerated people, their families, and supporters, that is centered on the international standards of human rights and the abolition of the for-profit Prison Industrial Complex. Formed to support families in coping with the stress and hardships created by having a loved one incarcerated, HRC challenges the punitive, retributive nature of the penal system and works to transform it into a model of rehabilitation and successful reintegration to society.
