Zubeydah Muzeyyen and Camae Ayewa featured in Pitchfork

Zubeyda Muzeyyen (ACG '16) (aka DJ Haram) and Camae Ayewa (LTA '15, ACG '07) (aka Moor Mother) make up the duo 700 Bliss. 700 Bliss was recently featured on Pitchfork for their debut EP Ring the Alarm. Pitchfork writes: 700 Bliss is the Philadelphia power duo of DJ Haram and Moor Mother, two of the most exciting underground electronic artists of the moment. Their debut EP has been several years in the making: Moor Mother, aka noise-poet polymath Camae Ayewa, has been mentioning their collaboration since the release of her 2016 debut Fetish Bones, a searingly political Afrofuturist epic. DJ Haram, meanwhile, is the moniker of New Jersey-bred Zubeyda Muzeyyen—Discwoman-affiliated selector, producer, and one of the writers behind the potent and widely-circulated zine, Bros Fall Back.
