Voice/Movement Workshop with Leah Stein

Leah Stein (ACG '17, WOO '02, '99) is offering aVoice/Movement Workshop to explore improvisational movement and sound inspired by Deep Listening® practice. This event will take place June 8 from 1:00-4:00PM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School Building (2329 S. 3rd Street). Connect internally and with others in an open creative process where everyone’s contribution is essential. Seasoned professionals as well as those newer to dance and voice are welcome.

Deep Listening®, developed by Pauline Oliveros, "explores the difference between the involuntary nature of hearing and the voluntary, selective nature – exclusive and inclusive -- of listening. The practice includes bodywork, sonic meditations, interactive performance, listening to the sounds of daily life, nature, one’s own thoughts, imagination and dreams, and listening to listening itself." - deeplistening.org

Cost per Workshop:
$20 in advance
