The play follows a revolutionary family struggling to find its footing amidst police violence and the pain of having failed in their movement. Their struggle hits rock bottom when their son becomes a victim of this violence. The family must find a way to redeem itself and continue on. Who determines what is right and wrong? How do we break free of the trauma and instances of injustice that feel as natural as the change in seasons? Biko Eisen-Martin's play addresses these questions and more, challenging what is "normal" when it comes to police relations in the inner city. Join Theatre in the X and North Philly Peace Park for a reading of the play followed by a talk-back and dance party!
Theatre in the X provides the Philadelphia community the opportunity to see quality theater in their own neighborhood for no cost. By removing the barriers of location and price the audience is able to experience theater that they possibly would not be able to access otherwise.
