Sundance Institute Presentes Tayarisha Poe's Selah and the Spades

Tayarisha Poe (ACG '15, '14) will be presenting a free screening of Selah and the Spades, through the Sundance Institute. This film premiered at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival. They have reached full capacity for this screening. To waitlist for seats that may open up, please come to the theater a half hour before the event.

Alternatively, please join them the following day for the free Music in Film Session, which will feature members of the Selah and the Spades team: director Tayarisha Poe, composer Aska Matsumiya, editor Kate Abernathy, and more. RSVP for the Music in Film Session here.

About the film: Five factions run the underground life of the prestigious Haldwell boarding school. At the head of the most powerful faction—the Spades—sits Selah Summers. By turns charming and callous, she chooses whom to keep close and whom to cut loose, walking the fine line between being feared and loved.
