Sandra Andino New Exhibit at Fleisher's Center for Works on Paper

Sandra Andino’s (ACG '14, '09, 05) exhibit Afrolatinos, is a collection of photographs and recorded excerpts of conversations provides an intimate view of the lives of Sandra’s subjects and depicts a collective consciousness surrounding the connection of Latinos to their African roots. The exhibition is on view in Fleisher’s Center for Works on Paper (705 Christian Street) through May 27. Sandra is an artist and an educator with a PhD in Cultural Anthropology who believes in the power of arts education to transform lives. Her photographs document personal stories and express her vision as an Afro-Latina artist. Andino is a two-time recipient of the Leeway Foundation Art for Social Change grant.
