PARTY BAZI Returns

"PARTY BAZI"
From Persian, meaning: "Getting the hook up by having connections."

Our party presents a safe space for artists with roots in 'the region' to rep their vision, and also share a night of dancing with music from the Caspian to the Gulf and beyond.

For at least one night, flex your "party bazi" and come kick it with us!

She is one half of iBomba, a Brooklyn-based duo and party that has thrown immigrant and people of color-centered parties for the last five years. She deejays from the perspective of a dancer, blending a wide range of global club music from soca to dancehall, hip hop to south asian rhythms, baltimore/jersey club to baile funk, vogue cuts to kuduro, maghrebi sounds to afrobeat and more. When she isn't crafting dancefloor spaces, Ushka is a political and cultural organizer. You can follow her on twitter or instagram at @ty_ushka and on soundcloud at www.soundcloud.com/djushka.

Party Rules:

  • Party Bazi is serious about being a safe space for SWANA/Middle Eastern peoples, along with the LGBTQ community and other communities fighting for their rights.
  • To that end, Party Bazi monitors (you'll recognize them!) will be keeping an eye on things to keep the night positive. Please alert them or a member of security if you have an issue at the event.
  • Make sure to support the venue at the bar with your $ and thank the staff for allowing our unique event.
  • Thank you for paying the cover! Our artists have real costs and we want to support them.
