Lynn Denton (LTA '11, WOO '00) presents Three Scenes from THE MILLINER

THE MILLINER is Lynn Denton's award winning feature screenplay about a young milliner in the Jim Crow South in 1910 who fights to create a business, loses it all, and returns home to face her past before she can find the courage to begin again. Three of the scenes from this part of the story were shot at Stapeley in their authentic Victorian parlor. There will be a Q and A afterward.

The screenplay of THE MILLINER, which includes the struggle of black and white suffragists in the South leading up to the 1920 winning of the vote by women, was named "Second Finalist" by juror Bruce Dern in the first Bentonville Film Festival Screenplay Competition.
