Lecture and Workshop with Annie Mok

Annie Mok's (LTA '14, ACG '13) talk and workshop, I Dare You: Fear, Comics, and Magic uses comics and hybrid forms to ask questions about art making, perception, trauma, gender, and memory, November 14 and November 15 at Swarthmore College. Yumi Sakugawa says, "Her stories are a challenge and an invitation to break down your own walls to become a braver, more real version of yourself.” Annie's artist's talk and workshop dare you to dream awake. Please bring a notebook or sketchbook and a pencil to the workshop.

Both talk and workshop takes place at Swarthmore College's Bond Hall (500 College Avenue) Her talk will be on Saturday, November 14 at 6:30pm and the workshop will take place that Sunday, November 15 at 12:30pm.

Annie Mok is an author-illustrator, a regular contributor to Rookie Mag and The Comics Journal, co-creator of Swim Thru Fire with Sophia Foster-Dimino, co-star in the upcoming feature film Phaesporia, and host and producer of the movies podcast Lights Go Down. She is a recipient of the 2014 Leeway Foundation Transformation Award.
