BaddDDD Sonia Sanchez Philadelphia film premiere at Blackstar Festival

The new documentary, BaddDDD Sonia Sanchez about the life and art of poet and activist Sonia Sanchez (LTA '05) will premiere in Philadelphia at the nationally acclaimed Blackstar Film Festival. Directed and produced by Barbara Attie (LTA, '11, ACG '09, WOO '99), Janet Goldwater (LTA, '11, ACG '09, WOO '04), and Sabrina Schmidt Gordon, BaddDDD Sonia Sanchez features an original musical score by Evan Solot. The performance-packed 90-minute documentary features appearances by Questlove, Talib Kweli, Ursula Rucker, Ayana Mathis, Amiri Baraka, John Bracey, Nikki Giovanni, Bryonn Bain, Imani Uzuri and many others. Saturday, August 1 (time tbd) at the International House. Sonia Sanchez and filmmakers will be in attendence.
