Williena J. Owes

Williena's project, The Survivor's Afghan, will be comprised of patches decorated individually by members of homeless families and pieced together to form a large crocheted afghan. Williena hopes to build community by having several families work on the piece as a collective. The piece itself is meant to heighten the awareness of the struggle and needs of the homeless as well as preserve a dying art.
