Vania Gulston

Vania will coordinate an on-site radio station at Folk Arts Cultural Treasure Charter School and Audenried High School. Through spoken word, music, audio documentary, radio drama, news, commentary, among other formats, students will broadcast live and recorded to the on-site school community and share select programming with WPEB-88.1 FM, for broadcast to a larger Philadelphia community. Vania's hope is that the radio station listeners will gain a better understanding of the world of the students at these schools, break down the stereotypes that they once had about them, and as a result, treat them and others with more sensitivity, dignity, and respect.
