By publishing a small monthly journal, Never on Time, in conjunction with a monthly reading salon, Tessa seeks to build and support a grassroots, change-oriented arts community. Within these forums, Never on Time hopes to create space for engaged creative dialogue among artists, and experimentation among political artists in Philadelphia. It will also create a forum for local and community-oriented artists to publish and receive direct response/feedback. Never on Time calls to community artists who reflect what they see and feel: roughness around the edges, ellipses and frayed ends, and marks of the hand-made.
