Sasa Ynoa

Sasa wishes to produce Dar a Luz, a film and website, focused on increasing awareness and acceptance of midwifery and natural birthing choices for women of color, economically disadvantaged women, and LGBT women. Her project aims to explore the history of birthing practices from around the world, raise consciousness about the medicalizing of birth in the United States, and provide information on available resources and alternatives empowering people to make informed choices.
