Rami George

Rami George (b. 1989, USA) is an interdisciplinary artist currently based on Lenape land in what is now called Philadelphia. They have exhibited and screened broadly and remain motivated by political struggles and fractured narratives.

Rami George's, "Selections from the archives", will be a new body of work made for the lobby of the William Way LGBT Community Center, working with and from reproduced material from the John J. Wilcox Jr. Archives. This project will use the archives to revisit significant events, continue ongoing conversations, and develop new poetic points, focused of women, trans*, and gender nonconforming history.
