Pam Newman

Pam will create illustrated zines with photos and interviews of moms, babies and peer workers from the Newborns and Neighbors postnatal support pilot at the Philadelphia Community Action Network (CAN). She will cast their feet to create an installation sculpture path towards a Philly where more babies and moms of color thrive with community support. This project will address how black moms and babies are being terrorized by a one-sided narrative of postnatal mortality.
