Mariya will write a non-fiction narrative and memoir about their lived experiences at the crossroads of gender and faith as a woman of transgender experience. The narrative also confronts toxic cultural norms that ignore the existence and widespread recognition of people of transgender and intersex experience as integral members of community. This project will culminate in events designed to bring writers of trans and intersex experience together.
