Malkia Okech

Malkia Okech will be working in collaboration with Paul Robeson House & Museum to digitize their archives and collections while also developing and producing new media work which ponders collective community museum processes for Black radical histories using the artistic mediums of documentation, oral history, and 3D interpretation. This residency seeks to break down the barriers between the museum and its visitors and neighbors. By facilitating training with the tools, and leading periodic dialogue about the tools and materials, this reisndency will proliferate memory work while preserving the rich legacy of Paul Robeson House.
