Lynn will conduct a series of poetry writing workshops at Ann’s Choice, a non-profit retirement community in her area. The workshops are designed to help residents explore, meditate, and celebrate their evolving self-images as elders living in a group setting and to dispel any ageist notions that may exist. The project will help the participants build new ties through the shared endeavor of poetry writing, and raise their consciousness of aging as a time for artistic growth and personal enrichment by offering them a way to reveal their humor, wisdom, courage and creativity. The project will culminate with the publication of a book and a poetry reading presented by workshop participants.
