Lonnie Grant

Lonnie will produce a traveling exhibit of photographs featuring Philadelphia area transgender men of color accompanied by text, in their own words, about their experiences. This project is meant to increase awareness and fight trans-phobia by presenting transmen of color in a positive light and marking their place in history. A diverse group of subjects, from varying ages, socio-economic status, educational backgrounds, and lifestyle choices, will be photographed and interviewed for the exhibit. Lonnie hopes to instill pride in his subjects, their families, and their personal social networks.
