Las Artivistas is a growing art collective that creates a space for Latinx women to express their creativity, reflect on their identities, and explore pressing social issues. Founded in 2014 and based in Norristown, Las Artivistas are working to individually and collectively discover and share their voices through multidisciplinary artistic expression such as  visual arts, crafts and textiles, and gardening. Focused on gender equity, racial justice, and cultural preservation, Las Artivistas' work challenges the patriarchal systems of their community and seeks to decolonize the environment that oppresses them. Through their artistic practice, Las Artivistas seeks to transform themselves in order to transform systems, suggesting a revolution through art and activism, where intuition and love is  accompanied by solidarity, equity and justice as their main guides and goal.
