Kitt Eileen Reidy is an aspiring author and Quaker living in the Germantown neighborhood of Philadelphia. Kitt's liberation from a psychiatric diagnosis has led her to The Mad Pride Community. She and a few of her friends have launched The Philadelphia Radical Mental Health Collective with the common understanding that good mental health occurs at the intersection of healing and justice.

Kitt will write a novel titled, Aviya Called Daughter, exploring issues of discrimination, stigma and homelessness.  The novel will raise awareness about the treatment of “outcasts” in our society by telling the stories of historical outcasts including the hemorrhaging women in the Bible.  Kitt will share these stories with The Alternative Seminary to facilitate discussion about these topics and its response in faith communities.
