khari will create a comic series that retells the history of Philadelphia through an honest, spiritual, philosophical, abolitionist, and healing focus. This project seeks to educate Philadelphians and neighbors on the true history of the area in an accessible manner, centering the impacts of settler colonialism on all marginalized groups, specifically bringing together Black and Nanticoke Lenni Lenape First Nations communities by highlighting their shared struggles. khari will distribute the comics for free at local libraries, community centers, and elementary and middle schools.
