Mizz Jasz is a teaching artist and community organizer who uses art, writing, programming, and resource distribution to educate and empower communities of color. She is the founder and president of the nonprofit Urgent 365 as well as the co-creator and writer for the youth-focused "Stay Woke" program and annual production. After publishing her first chapbook in 2017 and transitioning into full-time artistry by 2019, Jasz now serves as a contributing writer for Mogul Millennial and the facilitator for her own 40-day accountability group and curriculum.

Mizz Jasz has partnered with local high schools to spearhead an expanding youth program and culminating theater production for students of color who are at risk of failing. Participants will join year-long poetry, acting, and modeling clubs in which they explore historical figures and movements. The program ends with an annual student and staff written multi-disciplinary arts production entitled Stay Woke.
