Iresha Picot

Iresha will showcase the everyday lives of Black mothers by documenting Black motherhood through photographs and displaying them in public outdoor installations titled Mamas. The exhibit will be presented in a public space for underrepresented audiences that can appreciate and see the different representations of Black motherhood. Iresha plans to challenge images of Black mothers by displaying her artworks in areas that reveal a more intimate and supportive side to being a Black mother.
