Chow Down is a video documentary about the struggles three people face after being diagnosed with life-altering chronic diseases. For the past two years, Gage Johnston has been following John, Charles and Garnet's journeys to try to regain their health after each make the decision that the aid of surgery or a lifetime of medication is not what they want for their futures. All three people have the tenacity to seek expert advice beyond their traditional doctors' offerings and attempt to get rid of their diseases for good by changing their diet. Gage's interviews with experts will explain how the food industry, the medical industry and the federal government often make matters worse for the sick by placing concerns of profit and reputations above concerns about health.
