Esterlina will organize a series of workshops twice a month over the course of a year for a group of 6 homeless women at Sheila Dennis House, where she lives. She will teach people how to make costumes for public demonstrations and appearances addressing homelessness. Her aim is to use this art to showcase the women for who they are and to challenge the stigma surrounding homelessness. The goal is to feature a group of women who can create costumes and props for demonstrations that can change people’s outlooks, and display that they are no different than anyone else.
