Benita will facilitate Seniors Storytelling Day, an interactive performance art event bringing Philadelphia teenagers and seniors together to collaborate on documenting and re-telling the stories of the seniors. With this event, Benita hopes to develop a stronger sense of community by building a common ground for understanding between generations. Benita believes that the sharing of a single story by a senior or a grandparent has the power to transform lives and society. This event will culminate in a citywide intercultural and intergenerational reception and performance.
