Overview
Bea and Vernoca will hold a series of photography workshops to help individuals document their family history, address local and national issues of racism as well as feelings of helplessness and depression. This project will work to bring families closer together and strengthen their bonds through photographs. With social media, family bonds are often overlooked as people connect with strangers across continents. Working with the Paul Robeson House, Bea will help families in West Philadelphia connect across generations and improve their relationships by having them share their families' history. Participants will interview and photograph a family member culminating in an exhibit of the photos.
