Ava will partner with the Urban Tree Connection and community members in West Philadelphia neighborhoods to develop four sculptural installation concepts that will transform vacant urban lots into beautiful, uplifting places. Working with the community on the creation and installation of these projects, Ava intends to encourage engagement and pride in the community. The designs will be inspired by the natural world, and the artistic concepts will use color and light, relief units, large-scale sculpture, and photography. They will be site-specific, speaking to the needs of the site, neighbors, and neighborhood.
