Angela will interview 25 young lesbians ages 17-24, then compile biographies, photos, and short stories that describe their “coming out” stories. She will put together a booklet portraying their personal relationships, the reactions of their parents, family members, and peers in a way that will reach out to the community.  These short stories will include obstacles they have faced and overcome. Serving as a positive influence and a peer mentor she will provide guidance for others who may otherwise feel alone in their situations. Compiling these stories will create a venue for expression, building a positive sense of community for these women who live in a society that is not always accepting of their identities. The booklets will be distributed at The Attic Youth Center and surrounding community spaces.
