Amy will attend the annual First Nations celebration in West Philadelphia and travel to the east coast's only LGBTQ/Two-Spirit pow wow in upstate New York. Through these travels, pow wows, interviews, and casual meet ups, Amy will photograph those who would like their image taken in a location and attire of their choice. Amy’s goal is to create a body of work that illustrates the beauty of North American Indigenous culture, particularly where it intersects with other identities of urbanized, mixed race, or queer, as they see themselves, rather than from an outside colonial gaze.
