Moor Mother (Camae Ayewa LTA'15, ACG'07) will appear at the Kimmel Center as part of the Sittin’ In: Live Sessions series on Wednesday, December 18. The series aims to introduce audiences to up-and-coming artists who stretch the limits of genre, and give those artists space to curate the night with peers and fellow musicians they wouldn’t normally get to perform alongside.

The project of Camae Ayewa, Moor Mother just released her second LP, Analog Fluids of Sonic Black Holes. Don Giovanni Records calls it “a record rich with the noise and chaos that affirm Moor Mother’s punk roots, yet it is also anchored in earthiness via the constant injection of Black ritual, poetry, and drums programmed to vibrate through the listener’s mitochondria.”
