Fighting Misogynoir: Centering All Black Femmes & Women
July 25 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm

Misogynoir is a term referring to misogyny directed towards Black women, where race and gender both play roles in bias. It was coined by queer Black feminist scholar Moya Bailey, who created the term to address misogyny directed toward black women in American visual and popular culture.

Participants will identify the ways racism manifests for black women, femmes and girls as well as develop tools to address Misogynoir in daily life. This conversation will be facilitated by Krystal Leaphart and Adriyanna Andreus. The organizers ask that this is a space only for femmes and women of color. RSVP here. Free.
