Solace Screening in Philadelphia

In this coming-of-age movie, 17-year-old Sole is uprooted from her New York home after her father's death and sent to live with her estranged family in Los Angeles. Desperate to return to New York, she seeks help from her rebellious teenage neighbors, Jasmine and Guedado, to get her life back on track. But Jasmine’s instability, the feelings Sole develops for Guedado, and her own secret battle with an eating disorder threatens to upend her plans and keep her trapped forever. Directed by Tchaiko Omawale, 2018, 87 min. This film contains mature content; ages 13 and up.
