Waterfront Corp (DRWC) has been assessing how to best use our spaces to serve the Philadelphia community. Our budgets are strapped like everyone else, but we have SPACE. Lots of space. Indoor and outdoor. These include Race Street Pier, Cherry Street Pier, Blue Cross RiverRink, Penn’s Landing, Spruce Street Harbor Park, Washington Avenue Pier, and Pier 68. We would like to find ways to work with you if you need access to space. Some basics up front:
- Ticketed events are harder to pull off because of COVID restrictions, but we can definitely chat to see if we can work something out
- There are usually small pass-through costs associated with security, cleaning, and admin time
- We are a stage union site so stage crew will be required for anything with a PA system or stage-build (small Bluetooth speakers are allowable)
- We don’t really have anything heated, but we do have covered
Since the pandemic began, we have found places for people to host rehearsals and small recitals, shoot video, show movies to new audiences, host exhibitions and more. If you are interested, please reach out to me directly at efried-cassorla@drwc.org.
