Lossless Artist Talk & Closing Reception

Join BlackStar Film Festival alumni filmmakers on Friday, September 8 at the Leonard Pearlstein Gallery from 6-10 PM for an evening of conversation and a closing reception for Lossless, an exhibit curated by Maori Karmael Holmes (ACG '16, '06, '05, LTA '06)  in conjunction with the sixth annual festival.

Lossless is an exploration of Black and Brown bodies as a site of compression, considering the ways that labor, illusion, loss, lineage, and personhood are imagined and re-constructed.

Featured are works in installation, video, 16mm, online space and 3-D environments.

Artists Terence Nance, Roni Nicole Henderson, Sosena Solomon (LTA '14, ACG '13) and Razan AlSalah will be on hand for an artist talk from 6:30-8:00PM.
A closing reception party featuring DJ Aura will take place from 8:00-10:00PM. Read more and register.
