National Endowment for the Arts National Heritage award winner Losang Samten, a native of Tibet, will be an artist-in-residence at the Philadelphia Folklore Project. Stop by to observe and speak with Losang about his process as he brings images of elements of the Tibetan Buddhist universe into being through the intricate layering of colored sand. 

At the end of the week, Losang will preside over a dismantling ceremony during which the mandala sand is prepared for its return to nature. 

This program is FREE and open to the public.
