Leeway Partners with Sundance Institute to present Music in Film Session

Sundance Institute's Film Music Program invites you to a free day of discovery as we examine how filmmakers and composers create character and story through a musical score. Dive into the exploration with curated panels, audience Q&As, and a closing reception with the Philadelphia film community.
This program is preceded by a Friday-night screening of Selah and the Spades, directed by our panelist and former Knight fellow Tayarisha Poe (ACG '15, '14) which premiered at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival. This screening is currently at full capacity, but you're welcome to learn more about the screening, including the potential to waitlist, here.
If you have a disability and require accommodation in order to fully participate in this event, please contact us at 435-658-3456 or accessibility@sundance.org to discuss your specific needs. Every effort will be made to accommodate advance requests; requests made within 7 days of the event may not be guaranteed.
Sundance Institute is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the discovery and development of independent artists and audiences. Through its programs, the Institute seeks to discover, support, and inspire independent film, media, and theatre artists from the United States and around the world, and to introduce audiences to their new work.
They believe that a story driven by an individual, authentic voice can awaken new ideas that have the power to delight and entertain, push creative boundaries, spark new levels of empathy and understanding, and even lead to social change. They support independent storytellers and advance the impact of their work in the world.
