Call for Artists: Prisons in the Age of Mass Incarceration

Eastern State Penitentiary seeks proposals for site-specific installations to accompany their 2016 exhibit "Prisons in the Age of Mass Incarceration." They wish to collaborate with artists to explore the historical building and the American criminal justice system. They will prioritize installations that are interactive to the visitors, promote consciousness raising and are oriented towards social change. They ask applicants be mindful of the ramifications of the space--- size, climate, and sunlight. Click here for guidelines and eligibility criteria. Deadline: June 18.
