Bread & Roses Community Fund hosts Roots Town Hall February 25

Bread & Roses Community Fund presents Roots Town Hall: Challenging Displacement & Environmental Devastation. What is sacred to you? Family, friends, neighbors, community, culture, history - home? The Philadelphia region is changing but development often comes with a cost. People are priced out of their homes and businesses to make way for wealthier residents. Dirty industries are polluting our neighborhoods' water, air, and soil. Change may be inevitable, but…communities all over the region are demanding to be part of the conversation about how change happens; what's lost, what's preserved, what is made stronger, and who decides. Do you want to be part of this vision for change? At the town hall - you will hear stories from those most affected, connect the dots between our history and what's happening today, and learn about how you can get involved. Join us on February 25! Food, water, childcare, and ASL interpretation will be provided. This space is wheelchair accessible. Thursday, February 25 at the Friends Center (1501 Cherry Street) from 6:00pm -9:00pm. Click here to RSVP.
