AFRICA’SOUT! invites visual artists from the African continent, and those in its global diaspora, to submit applications for consideration for a 6 week residency in New York from September to October 2018.

The artist selected will benefit from the space to create and the exposure to the contemporary art conversations and relationships that AFRICA’SOUT! offers. We anticipate the selected artist will bring their unique perspective to share with other established artists, curators, and collectors in the New York City art community.

AFRICA'SOUT! awards a studio for the visiting artist in Upstate New York in partnership with Denniston Hill​, in addition to​ two weeks at the Brooklyn base for AFRICA'SOUT! and a $5​,​000 cash grant.
