2nd Annual Women in Reentry Day

The People’s Paper Co-op presents Women In Reentry Day on May 10.
This event is being organized by an amazing group of women in reentry who are participating in the spring advocacy program at the People's Paper Co-op. This spring, the women are helping the Philadelphia Community Bail Fund for their 2nd annual Mama's day bail out (raising money to bail mothers out before Mothers Day). To do this, the women are creating a series of campaigns, art exhibits, and events focused on: destroying stereotypes about incarcerated women; visualizing the missing labor / care that happens when women are incarcerated; creating posters, videos, and more to advocate for ending cash bail; and helping to raise funding for the mama's day bail out.
Join us on May 10th for the 2nd annual Women in Reentry Day. The day will include a Press conference at City Hall, a Free Our Mothers parade, the Women in Reentry Day symposium, and an art opening.
