The Rotunda and Bowerbird Announce Sound Artist Residency

The Rotunda and Bowerbird are pleased to announce SANCTUARY, a multi-month residency project for sound artists in the 8,000 square foot sanctuary space of The Rotunda. For the inaugural year of this residency program, six artists will be invited to produce site-specific sound-based projects for The Rotunda's main sanctuary, which features a 4-story, 80-foot diameter dome, and a large open floor plan. Residencies will take place during the summer of 2014 and will culminate in public showings / presentations October 10 - 12, 2014. Application deadline: Sunday, June 15. In addition to access to this remarkable space, each artist will receive a $1,000 stipend / project budget, technical support, documentation of the work, and complete marketing & production support for the public performance / presentation of the work.
